![]() Used in it many dusty locations around the world. I've owned the 24-70 GM since it was introduced. Sent it back again for re-evaluation and cleaning. ![]() It collected just as much dust after the replacement (I don't live in a dusty environment and rarely use it). I thought I would be covered under their 1 year warranty but I had to pay about $120 for Sigma US to replace the rear housing and seals. ![]() I bought mine used from B&H within the year the lens was released. Let's see if it actually makes a difference. I managed to get my cleaned and the sealing replaced under warranty too (in EU/Poland to be precise). This has taken affect on serial numbers starting with 5504 and above. There have been updates to the housing to make the lens much more dust resistant. In case anyone was curious, Sigma apparently has said I posted the serial number, it's ones beginning with 5504 and above Thanks! I just called my local dealer where I purchased my lens and they confirmed that this IS a partial recall from Sigma, and there is even a precise serial number (I can't recall what) which indicates the specific lens which is the latest one produced to require the fix.
